Bio

Hi! I'm Rei Sirena. The last name is kind of just a formality - you can call me Rei.I'm a Siren, and an aspiring VTuber/VSinger/Youtaite. I've been wanting to sing for others my entire life, but was far too scared that my amateur voice would be met with disdain from humans.I am painfully shy when it comes to my skills. I've been an anonymous lurker my entire life, too scared to make myself known. Only recently have I gained the courage to reach out and above the water with my songs... and hopefully reach out to you, too.In 2022 I discovered what VTubing was, but also saw how much work and time was put into it. I was far too busy as a traveling professional athlete to look deeper into the community at the time.So, despite a small test run of a song cover, it wasn't until the last half of 2023 that my lifelong career as an athlete ended. And with that, I started using the free time I gained to start making covers.I've never had any musical training throughout my life, but have been singing my little heart out for as long as I can remember. I've annoyed countless people in my life because of it! But it's something I just can't control.Singing brings me happiness, and happiness brings more singing.I'm a self-taught artist, self-taught rigger, self-taught mixer, self-taught everything. My skills are far from elite in every aspect, but all of my content has been made by my voice and hand alone. While it does get difficult, I take pride in my willingness to learn and my stubbornness to never give up until something is as good as I can make it in that very moment.And if I'm not good enough yet, I'll just keep trying!In 2024, I overdid it, and pushed myself so hard to sing that I ended up developing vocal nodules, and moderate-severe muscle tension dysphonia. Speaking, singing, and even breathing became painful and unnatural for me. It's taken over a year of rest and vocal therapy to get to where I am now. Sometimes my throat still hurts, and sound doesn't come out the way I expect it to. But I'm working hard to make my singing voice stronger than ever, with the right techniques and proper rest!And now... I'm here. Streaming, singing, and diving headfirst into content creation. I'm as motivated as ever to make covers, draw art, rig models, and do my best to give you a one-siren experience like no other.Thank you for finding me in these depths! 💚
